BATV Spooky 5k Run/Walk

Welcome to the Inaugural BATV Spooky 5K!

Join us on Sunday, October 18, 2026, for the first-ever BATV Spooky 5K, a fun Halloween-themed event for runners, walkers, families, and community members of all ages!

Whether you're aiming for a personal best, enjoying a walk with friends, or showing off your favorite Halloween costume, this event is a great way to celebrate the season while supporting a local nonprofit.

The race will begin and end at Marshall Middle School in Billerica, where participants can enjoy a festive atmosphere with Halloween decorations, music, and plenty of community fun. Costumes are encouraged, but not required!

The BATV Spooky 5K is a fundraiser benefiting Billerica Access Television (BATV), Billerica's nonprofit community media center. BATV provides coverage of local government meetings, community events, and educational programming while giving residents the opportunity to learn professional media production skills, use industry-quality equipment, and bring their own creative ideas to life. From students exploring media for the first time to community members producing local programs, BATV gives people a place to create, learn, and share stories that matter to Billerica.

As traditional cable television revenues continue to decline, fundraising events like the BATV Spooky 5K help ensure BATV can continue offering these valuable services and remain a resource for the entire community.

Whether you're running, walking, volunteering, or cheering from the sidelines, your participation helps support local community media while helping us launch what we hope will become a new annual Billerica tradition.
