Cobb County 5K benefiting Make a Wish Georgia

Every year, Cobb County hosts the Make-A-Wish 5K, a 5-kilometer run the benefits of which are donated to Make-A-Wish® Georgia to grant wishes for Cobb County children with critical illnesses. This year, there are many children in Cobb County waiting to have his or her wish granted. It is our hope to grant more wishes and we know that it takes a community to make this happen. The Make-A-Wish 5K is a Peachtree Road Race qualifying event.

This will be the first year that we are incorporating a 1K race for children 4-11 years of age. Children also have the option of running the 5K race if it's their preference. Bring them on out and let them burn off some energy.

Race Schedule is as follows:

Participants assemble on the Marietta Square, pre-race festivities begins at 7:15 a.m.

Walk-up registration begins at 6:30 a.m., ending at 7:30 a.m.

Wheelchair participants will begin at 7:40 a.m.

The 1K race will begin at 7:45 a.m.

5K race begins promptly at 8:15 a.m.

The race will go on as planned unless conditions are deemed hazardous to runners and volunteers.

Thursday, October 1st from 3:00 - 7:00 pm at Big Peach Running Co. - East Cobb/Marietta, 1062 Johnson Ferry Rd, Marietta, GA 30068

Friday, October 2nd from 3:00 - 7:00 pm at Cobb County Senior Services (Government Center), 1150 Powder Springs St SW, Marietta, GA 30064

Registration must be received by 09/25 to guarantee a race t-shirt.

Do you have some running shoes that you no longer wear? Bring your gently worn shoes to packet pick-up at Big Peach on Thursday, October 1st or drop them off in a bin near our Registration booth on race day.
