2027 Deer Lake 5 Mile Trail Run & Kids 1 Mile Trail Run

Come to rural Killingworth, CT to run (or hike) the Deer Lake Trail Run. Deer Lake Outdoor Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to accessible outdoor education while protecting their more than 250 acres of green space and miles of trails. The challenging 5(ish)-mile course, involving almost 500 ft of elevation gain, traverses the property and offers many scenic views as you navigate the ever-changing elevations on well-marked trails. This is a true trail course, and the technical nature of the terrain will mean that you will be exposed to rocks, roots, possible mud, etc. There will be awards for male & female winners in each age group listed below as well as the overall male & female winners.

New for 2027! We have a 1(ish)-mile trail course for kids and the young-at-heart. Just like the 5-mile course, the 1-mile kids trail run will be timed, will include rocks, roots, and more. Awards will be given to the overall male and female winners under 12-years old. Anyone participating under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult along the entire racecourse. An adult accompanying a runner under 10 years of age does not need to register and may run for free unless they want their run to be timed.

T-Shirts guaranteed for those who register before March 14, 2027!
