Fall in Love with Health 5K & Monty's Mini Mile

Join Pierpont Community & Technical College's School of Health Sciences for the Fall in Love with Health 5K & Monty's Mini Mile, a fun-filled community event promoting wellness, family, and student success.

The event features a 5K run/walk on the Mon River Rail-Trail and Monty's Mini Mile, a fun race for children featuring kid-friendly obstacles along the course. The 5K follows a scenic out-and-back route on the rail-trail's crushed limestone surface, beginning on the paved section of the trail and finishing just before the hill. The course is suitable for both runners and walkers of all ages and experience levels.

After crossing the finish line, stick around to enjoy music, family activities, and interactive health and wellness experiences hosted by Pierpont students and faculty. Visitors can explore health sciences demonstrations, receive wellness screenings, learn more about healthcare careers, and discover how Pierpont students are making a difference in our community.

Pierpont is proud to partner with the Marion County Running & Walking Club, whose support with race timing, course management, and volunteers helps make this event possible.

Proceeds from the event benefit Pierpont School of Health Sciences student scholarships and support services, helping students overcome barriers, complete their education, and enter the workforce prepared to serve our communities.

Course Information The 5K course is an out-and-back route on the Mon River Rail-Trail, offering a flat, scenic course suitable for runners and walkers of all experience levels.

The event will be held rain or shine.

The deadline to be guaranteed a shirt is September 20.

Marion County Race Series

The Fall in Love with Health 5K is proud to be part of the 2026 Marion County Race Series. Members of the Marion County Running & Walking Club receive a $5 registration discount.
