Course or Race Highlight

Travelers Rest in December is a genuinely charming place to run three miles, and this course makes the most of it — downhill to start, through neighborhoods that decorate for the occasion, and back to a park built around a farmers market pavilion and an amphitheater. There is a 200-meter fun run for kids twelve and under, so nobody in the family has to sit this one out.

Afterward, warm up with hot cocoa, festive treats, and cheerful tunes. Every finisher receives a Holiday Hustle medal, a custom Holiday Hustle tattoo, event-themed giveaways, a sticker, and complimentary race photos. Your entry supports local nonprofits through the Giving Series.

Good to Know

Are dogs allowed on the course?

Yes.

Are headphones or earbuds allowed?

Yes, but be mindful of your surroundings — the course is monitored by off-duty officers but is still open to the general public.

Can someone else pick up my packet for me?

No, packets are all picked up race morning, so we will see you there.

Is there race-day registration?

Yes — bring your mobile device and you can sign up until the race starts.

Where are the start and finish lines?

Right in front of the Pavilion at Trailblazer Park. You can't miss it.

Is there gear check or somewhere to leave personal items?

Under the Pavilion you can leave warm-up or cool-down gear and extra clothes. Your car will also be parked very close by.

Are there restrooms near the start/finish?

Yes, there are bathrooms on site.

Will I get a medal or a shirt?

Medals are included. Shirts can be purchased during registration and mailed directly to you.

What happens if there's bad weather?

Upstate Race Series races run rain or shine. In the event of lightning, extreme heat, or hazardous winter conditions, we'll post an update on this page and email registered runners as early as possible. Entry fees aren't refunded for weather delays — see Managing Your Registration below.

Can spectators come watch?

Spectators are welcome. Runner parking fills up race morning — if you're only here to cheer, plan for overflow parking nearby.

When will results and photos be available?

Live results post to the RunSignUp results page as each runner finishes. Free event photos are usually up within 48–72 hours on our Facebook page — we'll tag the album so it's easy to find.

Are kids and strollers welcome?

Yes, kids and strollers are welcome on the course.
