MCBC Fit Fellowship 5K Run & Walk

Dear Runners and Walkers,

We are thrilled to announce that Mt. Calvary Baptist Church's Wellness Ministry is hosting our 2nd Annual MCBC Fit Fellowship 5K Run & Walk on September 5, 2025, beginning at 8:00 AM.

Everyone is welcome, whether you choose to walk or run. Come out and enjoy a morning of fitness, fellowship, and community engagement. This event will cover a distance of 3.1 miles (5K), beginning and ending at 422 Carolina Avenue, Shelby, NC 28150.

The registration fee is $25 per participant, which includes:

Official race T-shirt

Race bib

Timing chip

Complimentary fruit and water will be provided to all participants upon completion of the race.

T-Shirt Registration Deadline: August 10, 2025

Special Incentive: The first 25 registered participants will receive a special prize!

Awards & Recognition Medals will be awarded to the top finishers in the following age groups:

Adult Age Groups:

20–30 31–40 41–50 51–60 61 and Above

Junior Age Groups:

15 and Under 16–19 In addition, the Top 3 Overall Fastest Finishers will receive special awards.

Event Highlights Our goal is to bring together churches, families, and community members for a day of fellowship while promoting healthy lifestyles and physical fitness.

Participants can expect:

Clearly marked race route

Water stations throughout the course

Route volunteers and encouragers

Medical personnel stationed along the course

Medical station at the Start/Finish Line

Food, beverage, and health-focused vendors on-site

Family members and friends who are not participating in the race are invited to attend and enjoy the vendor area.

Leashed pets are welcome!

Race Route Information Race Start: 422 Carolina Avenue, Shelby, NC 28150 (8:00 AM) Halfway Point: 1205 Northside Drive, Shelby, NC 28150 Race Finish: 422 Carolina Avenue, Shelby, NC 28150 The route will be clearly marked for all walkers and runners. Water stations will be available throughout the course.
