Clermont 50K, Marathon, Half, 10K & 5K – MileBuilt Lake Louisa 2-Day Challenge

THE COURSE Central Florida is flat. Lake Louisa isn't.

The Lake Louisa 2-Day Challenge runs the paved park roads of Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont, FL, on April 24–25, 2027. The park sits on the Lake Wales Ridge — rolling hills, sandhill, oak hammock, and three lakes. Every repeat runs out past Dixie Lake, over the hills, around the north lot, and back. Park roads stay open to vehicles in both directions — run on the left, facing traffic, with one marked crossing at the 10K turn. Stay in a cabin on Dixie Lake or at the campground and your start line is inside the gate.

WHAT YOU GET. WHAT YOU DON'T. No shirts. No race bags. No expo. No chip timing. Nothing in a bag at the finish. A measured course. A clock. A finish that gets recorded. And a reason to come back tomorrow. Every finisher earns the Daily Finisher Medallion. Run both days on a Streak and you earn the Tier Patch.

RACE DAY CUTOFF 3:45 PM. This applies to the full race day — not per distance. Runners still on course after the cutoff will be directed off course.

PARKING AND PARK ENTRY Enter Lake Louisa State Park at 7305 U.S. Highway 27, Clermont. The gate opens to participants at 6:00 AM. Follow RACE PARKING signs to the event fields between the Hitching Post and the campground. Park admission is $5, paid at the ranger station. Have a $5 bill ready for the fastest entry — credit cards are accepted, but slower. Or buy a Lake Louisa State Park single-day pass online on race morning; it must be for Lake Louisa and is valid only the day you buy it.

CAMPING Cabins on Dixie Lake, a full-facility campground, glamping, and primitive sites put you inside the park for the full Challenge. Reserved directly through Florida State Parks at reserve.floridastateparks.org, not race registration — sites are shared with the public and fill fast.

AID STATION This is a cupless event. Carry your own fluids — handheld bottle, vest, or waist pack. MileBuilt provides water, an electrolyte drink, and basic snacks at the Hitching Post start/finish, plus water and electrolyte at the turnaround lot. Do not rely on the aid station as your complete nutrition plan, especially for longer distances or multi-day participation.

BIB PICKUP Race day, at the Hitching Post start/finish: 50K and Marathon — from 6:00 AM, 45 minutes before your start Half Marathon — from 6:00 AM, 55 minutes before your start 10K and 5K — from 6:45 AM, one hour before your start Honor system, no ID required. A friend may pick up on your behalf. No bib transfers.

FINISH Not chip timed. When you finish: cross the line, strike the GONG, then complete the Clock Out at the MileBuilt Time Clock. Official finish times are recorded at the MileBuilt Time Clock and verified by the Race Director before results are posted. Every runner must complete the Clock Out process to receive an official finish record.

One day is a full race. Two days is a Streak.
