Ocean State Rhode Races

The 10th Annual Ocean State Rhode Races in Narragansett, RI will be held on Sunday October 25, 2026. Race weekend features a Marathon, Half Marathon and 5k Race. The Marathon will start at 7:30 am, the Half Marathon will start at 8:00 AM and the 5k at 8:15 am, all on Sunday

This boutique Rhode Island marathon will showcase what is great about the Ocean State. Not only does the course feature classic Rhode Island beauty, our finish line festival will also include an authentic RI experience at iconic Narragansett Town Beach. For runners and by runners, the event offers direct access to the race directors who promise timely communication and personal touches throughout your race experience. The marathon course is USATF certified and is a Boston Marathon and Abbott World Marathon Majors Qualifier.

RI Senior Games is pleased to announce our affiliation with Rhode Races to offer a 5K road race that qualifies runners for the National Senior Games Association competition in 2027! The Ocean State Rhode Race will feature a team competing for medals in five-year age groups from 50-54, to 90+. At the registration page, "Would you like to join or create a team?", be sure to respond ”YES” and join team RI Senior Games.

This is also an “Endorsed“ race by the New England 65+ Runners Club. NE 65+ Running Club

The Ocean State Rhode Races Half is the final stop of the Rhode Race Series, a five stop series of Rhode Island Half Marathons.

RUN, VOLUNTEER, CHEER

Join us along the water for a family-friendly finish line festival with music and fun! Relax and roll out in our Recovery Zone, where Pappas OPT Physical, Sport and Hand Therapy will be providing FREE post-race stretching.

After the race, runners, volunteers and spectators are invited to Whalers Brewing Company, our official post-race party host. Just 10 minutes away, Whalers is the perfect spot to hang out, celebrate with fellow runners and grab a complimentary beverage.

Please Note: Ocean State Rhode Races will be happening rain or shine. Because of the logistics of planning for a race of this size, we cannot offer refunds for any reason. In the event that the weather is severe enough to create an unsafe environment for participants, organizers will cancel the event with no refunds issued.
