Race Back to School! Methacton 5K Walk or Run

All proceeds benefit the Methacton Backpack Program!

This event is organized by the Methacton Education Foundation and raises vital funds for the Methacton Backpack Program, which provides essential, year-round food to local families in need.

Location: Heebner Park (Valley Forge Road Entrance) 1721 S Valley Forge Rd, Collegeville, PA 19426

Awards: Overall and Age Groups: Top 1-3 overall, top 1-3 in each age group, Kids fun run is not timed and everyone is a winner!

Entry: $35 per participant and $20 for Fun Run (kids under 12). You must register by September 14th to order a t-shirt! T-shirts are $5.

Bib Pick up: You can pick up your race bib early on Thursday, 10/1/2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Tosco Pizza parking lot (2908 W Main St, Eagleville, PA 19403).

We will accept registration on race day, but please note that you will not receive a t-shirt.

Please note shirts that are not picked up on race day will not be held.

Refreshments and snacks will be available for all participants

Parking: The parking lot at Heebner Park at Valley Forge Entrance. Overflow parking is available at the Heebner Road Entrance

Race Results: The Bryn Mawr Racing Co. will professionally time the race (5K only); Results will be found at http://www.brynmawrracing.com

Fun Run Course 1.5K (A little less than 1 mile)

Important Course Information for 5k Runners: This is a trail course, and you'll encounter varied, unpaved terrain like dirt and gravel. Enjoy the beautiful park as you navigate the natural surfaces!

The Methacton Education Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps provide supplemental funding for innovative educational programs and initiatives to enrich student learning. Methacton Alumni and Friends is the official alumni network. The goal of the Methacton Alumni & Friends is to provide a network for alumni, teachers, parents, supporters, and other friends of the Methacton School District. Methacton Alumni and Friends works hand-in-hand with the Methacton Education Foundation to give the students educational opportunities above and beyond their expectations.
