RISE UP! Run Over Cancer 5K

The Carolina Strive RISE UP! Run Over Cancer 5K will be a city-wide race to raise funds for area cancer research/treatment. Funds will stay local to support patients through UNC Health Nash Foundation’s Cancer Fund.

The Foundation works to fill gaps in health care and community outreach through programs that are not part of the hospital’s regular operating budget or when additional support is needed. Proceeds from this event will go specifically to help cancer patients with things like medication, transportation, and nutritional supplements.

The event check-in starts at 7:00am EST with a 1K Fun Run start at 8:00am followed by the 5K at 8:30am. There will be individual awards (multiple age ranges), Carolina Strive drawstring swag bags, Carolina Strive hand towels, and one size fits all wristbands to commemorate our annual event. All participants will receive their personal time and a certificate.

An awesome opportunity for family fun and to train for upcoming marathon qualifiers while joining the fight against cancer! Enjoy our scenic course highlighting the City of Rocky Mount’s historic landmarks & parks along with receiving keepsake giveaways as a participant!

This philanthropic event will aid our mission in developing area youth into well-rounded citizens and serve as a corporate team building outing. Let's all RISE UP! and Run Over Cancer together! We are a 501-C3 non-profit organization, therefore all donations are 100% tax deductible.

$25 - Early Registration fee through November 7th

$30 - November 8th - November 20th

$40 - Registration fee the day of the race

*Teams of 4 or more members will receive $5.00 off the registration fee!

Categories: 5K, 1K Fun Run (Children 7 & under free. Ages 8 - 13, 50% off when accompanied by an adult.)

All 5K Participants will receive a Carolina Strive drawstring bag, Carolina Strive hand towel, and one size fits all wristband.

Event shirts can be purchased for $20 and must be pre-ordered by November 4, 2026.
