NEW! Run for Recovery Milestone Club

Every race matters. Every year you return, you're helping us build something bigger.

Beginning in 2027, we're excited to introduce our Run for Recovery Milestone Club, recognizing participants who continue showing up to support our mission!

3 Races — Legacy Runner

5 Races — Champion of Hope

10 Races — Recovery Runs Deep Hall of Fame

Milestones are based on the total number of annual Run for Recovery events you've completed, not consecutive years. Whether you run the 5K, 10K, Kids Dash, or participate virtually, your participation counts toward your milestone. Each annual event counts once.

In 2027, we'll celebrate our very first Legacy Runners, recognizing those who participated in 2025, 2026, and 2027!

Our Legacy Runners will receive special recognition during our awards ceremony as we celebrate the people who have helped build this tradition from the beginning.

Whether you're celebrating your first race or your third, you're an important part of our story!

The Courses Experience the natural beauty of Crandon Park as you run or walk through peaceful garden areas, lush wooded pathways, and scenic stretches near Biscayne Bay.

Our 5K course follows a scenic single-loop route through Crandon Park, while the 10K completes the loop twice, offering twice the distance and twice the challenge!

Both courses will be professionally measured, marked, and chip-timed, ensuring an organized and enjoyable race experience for runners of all levels.

Water stations and enthusiastic volunteers will be positioned throughout the course to keep participants hydrated, supported, and encouraged every step of the way.

Our Kids Dash is a fun 100-yard sprint designed to get our youngest runners involved and excited about the day!

Awards, Medals & Race Day Fun Stay for an exciting morning filled with music, community, and celebration!

Race day festivities include:

Run Together! Create a Team Everything is better when we come together for a cause!

Gather your coworkers, family members, friends, running club, or community organization and participate as a team!

We welcome corporate teams, recovery organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and groups of friends who want to run or walk together in support of recovery.

Participating as a team is a wonderful way to build community, raise awareness, and introduce more people to our mission.

Run With Purpose Run for Recovery benefits The Donnie Baumann Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to reducing the stigma surrounding addiction and helping individuals and families access treatment and recovery resources.

We believe addiction is not a moral failure, and no individual or family should have to face the challenges of addiction and mental health challenges alone.

We run to honor those we've lost, encourage those working toward recovery, and support the families who walk alongside them.

The foundation was created in honor of a man of faith whose love for running, hard work, and the outdoors reflected a life of perseverance and purpose. Through our programs and race series, we carry that spirit forward by creating opportunities for movement, connection, and access to care.

We run to end the shame. We run to honor those we've lost. We run to support those still fighting. And we run to remind every individual and family that recovery is possible.

Every registration helps us continue this mission.

Become a Sponsor or Volunteer Want to make an even bigger impact? We'd love to have you involved!

We welcome local businesses, organizations, and individuals interested in supporting Run for Recovery through financial sponsorships, in-kind donations, and volunteer opportunities.

Sponsorships help cover event expenses so more of the funds raised can support our foundation's mission. In-kind contributions such as refreshments, raffle prizes, equipment, and event services are also greatly appreciated.

Volunteers are essential to making race day possible! Opportunities include registration, course guidance, water stations, event setup, and volunteer coordination.

Whether you'd like to volunteer for a few hours on race day or become involved with the foundation throughout the year, there's a place for you.
