2026 Run the Ridge 5K

Welcome to the Inaugural Run the Ridge 5K!

Join us for the first-ever Run the Ridge 5K, hosted by the River Ridge High School Cross Country and Track & Field programs!

Whether you're an experienced runner chasing a personal record, a recreational runner, a first-time 5K participant, or a cross country parent who's spent years cheering from the sidelines, it's finally your turn to show us what you've got!

Our mission is simple: promote running, encourage healthy lifestyles, strengthen the Pasco County running community, and support local high school athletics.

Location: River Ridge High School

Distance: 5K (3.1 miles)

Awards: 9:15 AM

Registration Fees

Students (high school or younger): $20

All other participants: $30

Optional race t-shirt: $20

Student pricing applies to all students in high school or below, regardless of age. College students and all other participants pay the regular $30 registration fee.

T-Shirt Information

Optional race t-shirts are available for $20 each! Shirts are made from 100% polyester, moisture-wicking performance fabric, perfect for running, training, or everyday wear.

To guarantee your shirt, please register and purchase it by January 15, 2027. Additional shirts may be available for purchase on race day while supplies last.

Course Description

Looking for a fast 5K? You've come to the right place!

The Run the Ridge 5K features a flat, fast, two-loop cross country course around the River Ridge High School campus. The race starts and finishes on the River Ridge High School track, giving participants an exciting track finish!

Course Surface:

Approximately 65% asphalt

Approximately 35% packed trail

Flat terrain with minimal elevation changes

Awards — Custom Bobbleheads!

We're making our inaugural race memorable with bobblehead awards for our top finishers!

Top 5 male finishers

Top 5 female finishers

Age Group Awards

Awards will be presented to the top 2 male and top 2 female finishers in each of the following age divisions:

Ages 0–10

Ages 11–14

Ages 15–19

Ages 20–29

Ages 30–39

Ages 40-49

Ages 50-59

Ages 60-69
