Kick off your Thanksgiving morning with family, fun, and a little fitness at the 4th Annual Scranton Turkey Trot! Whether you’re running the 5K, enjoying a leisurely 1-mile walk, or cheering on friends and family, this tradition is the perfect way to start your holiday.

We welcome everyone, from first-time racers to seasoned runners. Lace up your sneakers, grab your turkey hats, and join us for a morning of fitness, fun, and giving back!

Start Time: 9:00 AM

Events: 5K Run and 1-Mile Fun Walk

Course: Scenic and mostly flat, with a few rolling hills and no street crossings!

Post-Race Refreshments: Enjoy coffee and donuts. A special thank-you to Krispy Kreme for their continued generosity and annual donations!

Trophies will be awarded to the Top Overall Male and Female Finishers.

Age-group awards will be presented to male and female participants in the following categories:

 Giving Back to Our Community

The Scranton Turkey Trot is about more than running—it’s about making a difference in the community we call home.

Over the past three years, this event has helped raise nearly $30,000 for the Butterfly Playground, an inclusive play space designed for children and adults of all abilities. We are proud to have supported the Nay Aug Park Association in its ongoing efforts to revitalize Nay Aug Park in honor of the James “Red” McAndrew Foundation.

This year, we are excited to support St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen, an organization dedicated to providing a free, hot, nutritious meal to every guest, every day of the year.

We are grateful to our participants, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters who make this event possible. Your generosity helps us continue the tradition of giving back and making a positive impact right here in Scranton!
