St. Chris Cares for Kids 5K

Every step at the St. Chris Cares for Kids 5K brings us closer to a community where every child can get high-quality, compassionate healthcare, no matter their circumstances. Join us for a morning of movement, connection, and purpose at the Philadelphia Zoo, with every registration directly supporting the kids and families who count on St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.

The 5K and Family Fun Run/Walk both start and finish inside the zoo, so participants will be right among the animal exhibits throughout. The 5K route winds through the zoo grounds before looping out along the perimeter and back in to finish at the start line, passing many exhibits along the way. The 1-mile Family Fun Run/Walk stays within the heart of the zoo, offering a shorter, family-friendly route where kids can enjoy seeing the animals up close.

Whether you're racing for a personal best, walking with your family, or cheering from the sidelines, you're helping make sure no child in our community goes without the care they deserve.

All participants will have same day admission access to the zoo.

Entry: 5K Run/Walk: $65 — starts 8:00AM EST Family Fun Run/Walk: $45 general entry — starts 8:10AM EST Spectator: $30 ($25 for ages 2-11) — 8:00AM EST

Check-In & Event Materials: Check-in begins at 7:00 AM. Registered runners and walkers will receive their official event T-shirt, race bib, and zoo wristband.

Registered spectators will receive a zoo wristband.

Please keep your wristband on throughout the event. Your wristband allows you to remain at the Philadelphia Zoo and enjoy the exhibits following the race.

Parking & Transportation: Parking is available at the Philadelphia Zoo Parking Garage, which we recommend for convenient access to the event. Street parking is also available where permitted.

Please note: All attendees are responsible for their own parking fees. Parking costs are not covered by St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.

Attendees are also encouraged to use SEPTA public transportation whenever possible.

Race Results: The race is professionally timed by Bryn Mawr Racing Co. Results will be posted at brynmawrracing.com.
