The Ascent 5k & Wellness Festival

Event Overview The Ascent 5K & Wellness Festival is a run, walk, or roll event hosted by The Phoenix Journey, a local nonprofit dedicated to empowering people with autoimmune diseases to change and sustain a new lifestyle to improve their current state of disease, one person at a time.

This event isn't just a race; it's a movement of resilience, community, and hope. This year, to make it extra special, we are encouraging group participants to come rocking their best costumes. Every step on the course represents the daily climb autoimmune warriors face. Let's show some support and rise higher together.

Join us on Saturday, March 27 in Spring, TX, at Rob Fleming Park for a family-friendly celebration with music, vendors, giveaways, post-race refreshments, and lots of fun! Whether you're running for time, walking with friends, rolling with your support team, or cheering from the sidelines, you're part of The Ascent.

Kids Dash (.25 Mile) A short, exciting race for children 10 and under to experience the fun of racing the Ascent! Top 3 finishers receive awards.

Volunteer & Run Option Help us bring The Ascent to life - and then run it!

Arrive 1.5 hours before the race start, assist with setup and registration, run the 5K, then celebrate with the community as a volunteer at the finish line.

Why We Run For those living with autoimmune disease, every day brings new challenges- physical, emotional, and mental. Some days are harder than others, but every day requires courage and support.

The Ascent 5K honors that. Whether you're an autoimmune warrior, caregiver, family member, supporter, or advocate, this event is a chance to stand together, rise together, and celebrate strength in all forms.

Event Safety, Weather & Refund Policy The safety of all participants, volunteers, and spectators is our top priority.

In the event of inclement weather, the event start time may be delayed by up to 1 hour. After that, we may shorten or alter the course to protect participants. All Next Level Race Management events proceed rain, shine, snow, or cold. For that reason, we have a strict no-refund policy.

If conditions turn unsafe, the event may be canceled. Event changes and cancellations are at the discretion of the Race Director.

We always strive to produce a full and safe sporting event, but weather can sometimes affect those plans.

A considerable amount goes into planning a sporting event, and we do so with the best intentions. Unfortunately, no one can control the weather, and race directors are not the exception.

Our goal is always to run the event as scheduled and modify plans only for safety concerns, some of which can be caused by weather conditions.

If you are unable to participate in the event, you may contact the event organizer to pick up your packet at another time, or, if you purchased race insurance, follow the steps to request a refund.
