The Cold SpringTurkey Trot

Kick off Thanksgiving morning with the 4th Annual HSF Cold Spring Turkey Trot on November 26, 2026!

Join us for a festive morning of running, walking, and community spirit in beautiful Cold Spring, NY! Both races will start and finish at the Haldane School football field / track.

NEW THIS YEAR – A SCENIC (AND SLIGHTLY LESS HILLY!) COURSE! 

We've updated our 5K route to take runners and walkers by the beautiful Hudson River! Enjoy stunning waterfront views, the charm of Cold Spring, and a course that's a little less hilly than in years past. Don't worry, we've kept just enough hills to make you feel like you've earned that Thanksgiving feast!

NEW THIS YEAR – THE KIDS' TURKEY TROT! 旅

We're excited to introduce a special 1/5-mile race around the track just for our youngest trotters! Kids ages 0–12 will race in three age groups:

Ages 0–5

Ages 6–9

Ages 10–12

And rumor has it... there might even be a turkey to chase around the track! 旅

The Kids' Trot gives our littlest runners a chance to shine! Registration for the Kids' Trot also includes participation in the 5K, so kids are welcome to run or walk the full course with their families at no additional cost!

RACE DAY SCHEDULE ⏰

9:00 AM SHARP – Kids' Turkey Trot: Our youngest runners take the track first, racing in their respective age groups! Approximately 9:30 AM – 5K Run/Walk: The 5K will kick off once all Kids' Trot races have finished. The exact start time may vary slightly depending on the kids' races.

All proceeds support the Haldane School Foundation, helping fund educational grants and enrichment opportunities for Haldane students.

Registered runners will receive exclusive Turkey Trot swag if you register before Friday Nov 6th, and the 5K race winner will have their name added to the official HSF Turkey Trot Trophy!

Run, walk, cheer, chase a turkey, and celebrate Thanksgiving with our community!
