The First Step 5k

Join us for the 4th Annual First Step 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk & 5K Ruck, hosted by Haven at Blue Creek on our beautiful grounds in Grimesland, NC on April 3, 2027.

The First Step 5K is more than a race — it’s a powerful morning where our community comes together to support women taking brave steps toward recovery. All proceeds benefit Haven at Blue Creek, a Women's Rehabilitation Center committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for women overcoming addiction.

Join us for post-race refreshments and a joyful, family-friendly atmosphere.

The course is a cross country style course (gravel road/grass) and includes running across the property’s Berm. Strollers are welcome for the 1-mile fun run but we do not recommend for the 5k. Dogs on leashes are welcome.

HAVEN AT BLUE CREEK Nestled in a serene landscape, Haven at Blue Creek is a sanctuary dedicated to the recovery of women fighting addiction. Our program, exclusively for women, embraces a holistic approach to recovery, focusing on healing the mind, body, and spirit.

OUR MISSION To empower women on their path to recovery, offering them the tools, support, and community they need to overcome addiction and rebuild their lives with dignity and strength.
