The Northern Outer Banks Salt & Sound Run/Walk

Join us for the Salt and Sound 10k, 5k and 1-mile Fun-Run, at the Currituck County Rural Center on Saturday, September 19th. Experience the area's waterfowl, wetland and the neighboring horses.

This unique race will bring you along water thoroughfares, on boardwalks and straightaways to the edge of the Currituck Sound.

The courses are scenic but not the fastest because you will be on multiple surfaces.

Each event will be well marked with chip timing, water stations and the parks permanent restrooms. Best of all, the rear race marshals will be on horseback! They are there to help you hoof it!

Welcome runners and walkers! We recommend that strollers and dogs (leash required) start at the back.

Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Male and Female

Age Division -- First and second place to first two male and first two female finishers in each age category - 29 & under, 30-45, 46-59, 60 &up

5k:

Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Male and Female

Age Division -- First and second place to first two male and first two female finishers in each age category - 29 & under, 30-45, 46-59, 60 &up

1 Miler

Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female

Wheelchair Division: Top Male and Top Female.

**All finishers in each race will receive a race medal. First 150 registrants will receive a race t-shirt.
