Join us on Saturday, November 14, 2026, for the 4th Annual UAB Veterans Day 5K presented by Viva Health at Railroad Park — a community event dedicated to honoring those who have served and supporting the next generation of military-connected students.

Since launching in 2023, this event has grown into one of Birmingham's most meaningful Veterans Day traditions. Last year alone, more than 1,100 participants and 100 volunteers showed up to make a difference and because of this community's support, we've granted over $22,000 in emergency funding to military-connected students since 2023, helping cover housing insecurity, unexpected expenses, and the everyday costs of earning a degree.

This year, we're continuing that mission with even greater purpose, and we want you to be part of it.

Whether you're a runner, walker, rucker, or wheelchair racer, there's a place for you at the starting line. Not local or can't make the date? Join us virtually — our 2026 race includes a virtual option open to UAB alumni and military-connected community members anywhere in the world.

Finisher Awards

Awards will be presented to the top 3 overall male and female finishers. Age group awards will be presented to the top male and female finisher in each division.

Race Packet Pickup

Early Pickup: November 12–13 | 9:00 AM–6:00 PM | UAB Hill Student Center, Suite 313 Race Day Pickup: Begins at 6:30 AM onsite

Virtual Participants: Your race shirt and finisher medal will be mailed to the address provided at registration within one week following the race. Prefer to skip the wait? Select in-person pickup at registration and collect your packet during Early Pickup or on Race Day.
