Wetumpka Dickens of a Run 5k & Jingle Bell Jot

Lace up your running shoes and join us for the inaugural Dickens of a Run 5K as part of Wetumpka's beloved Dickens Christmas celebration!

Taking place on Saturday morning, December 5, 2026, this festive 5K will begin and end near the Wetumpka Farmers Market and Sports Complex area, offering runners and walkers a scenic route through one of Alabama's most charming communities. Whether you're chasing a personal best, enjoying a family outing, or simply looking to kick off a day of holiday fun, Dickens of a Run is the perfect way to start your Christmas celebration.

Participants are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the season with Victorian-inspired attire, festive costumes, holiday accessories, or Dickens-themed outfits. Awards will be presented in multiple age divisions, along with special recognition for the most spirited holiday costumes.

Following the race, participants can enjoy all the festivities of Dickens Christmas in Historic Downtown Wetumpka, including the Christmas Market, carriage rides, live entertainment, Father Christmas, holiday shopping, and family activities throughout the day.

Proceeds from the race are used to provide Wetumpka's Storybook Christmas and Downtown Dickens weekend events such as photos with Father Christmas, street closures, decorations, entertainment, and artificial snow.
